Kingaroy Heritage Museum has welcomed the arrival of a large display cabinet for its military display, which is being renovated.

The extra cabinet will enable museum volunteers to preserve and display military stories and memorabilia from the local community.

The purchase of the cabinet was supported by the Federal Government’s Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism Program in collaboration with the Australian Museums and Galleries Association.

“Professional display cabinets make such a difference to our displays,” Cr Danita Potter said.

“Before, we had to squeeze our precious artefacts into small spaces with difficult access.

“Now, we can properly show off and house these historical objects that come directly from local families and mean so much.”
