Cherbourg Hornets, still on a high after Selwyn Cobbo’s debut in State of Origin 1, hosted a full round of junior and senior rugby league games last Saturday.
Coming off a narrow win last week, the home team shone in the A Grade game, downing the Kingaroy Red Ants 34-22.
Nanango fans would also have gone home happy after the Stags’ seniors kept the Wondai Wolves to a solitary try in their 40-6 victory.
This weekend, local rugby league games shift to Murgon Showgrounds.

- Under 16s – Souths Tigers 44 def. South Burnett Eagles 20. South Burnett try scorers included Nathan Roderick (2) and Casey Jones. Riley Kerkow kicked two goals.
