A 21-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged after crashing his Commodore ute into a power pole while allegedly chucking doughnuts in the heart of the Kingaroy CBD.

The incident occurred on the corner of Youngman and Haly streets on June 4.

Police later found the Commodore – with its number plates removed – parked in Haly Street with extensive damage to the passenger side.

They found a single, deep tyre mark on the roadway leading back to the intersection where circular marks were on the roadway.

Subsequent investigations identified the alleged driver.

He has been charged with dangerous driving and failing to fulfil the duties of a driver involved in traffic crash and will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on June 23.

The Commodore was impounded for 90 days.

A woman aged in her 20s was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash on Coverty Road at Ballogie at 1:47am on Saturday.

A 28-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 21 charged with drink-driving (0.077 BAC) after police stopped a Toyota ute on Redmans Road, Kingaroy, at 9:10am on Friday.

A man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 7 charged with drug possession (cannabis) after police searched a 20-year-old man in Fisher Street, Kingaroy, at 1:50pm on Friday.

On Sunday, police were called to a Webster Street, Kingaroy, address about 9:00am after residents said they had located a woman trying to enter their vehicle.  An 18-year-old Ellesmere woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 7 charged with drug possession (cannabis) and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.

Police are investigating the unlawful entry of a motor vehicle that was parked behind a hotel in Haly Street. The vehicle was left secured by the owner at 7:00pm on Sunday and when she returned at 11:30pm she found a door open. The thieves took a backpack, carry bag, a wallet containing a small amount of cash, and personal property.
