Interested in developing a community arts project for your town? Then this workshop brought to the South Burnett by the team behind the Blackbutt Avocado Festival is for you!

Creative producer Shelley Pisani will be hosting a workshop in Blackbutt on Saturday, July 2, as part of the Blackbutt Arts Strategy.

Shelley has more than 25 years’ experience in the arts industry, including 11 years as the co-director of Creative Regions.

She has been involved in numerous regional arts initiatives and businesses including CQ Shopfront and The Ideas Distillery.

Participants at the workshop will learn to design a community arts project, and the organising committee is now calling for people to register for this free workshop.

“We welcome all community members who would like to learn new skills or pitch a creative project to attend,” president Jeff Connor said.

Attendees will learn step-by-step how to develop a project plan for a community arts project.

The workshop will run from 9:00am-5:00pm at Blackbutt Memorial Hall.

A follow-up Zoom workshop for participants with Ms Pisani will be held from 10:00am to noon, on July 23.
