Two new faces have joined the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Board.

Dr Stephen Harrop and businessman Terry Kehoe will join the board alongside three other reappointed members: Dr Dennis Campbell, Marie Pietsch, and Emeritus Professor Julie Cotter.

Continuing members are chair Michael Horan AM, Cheryl Dalton, Associate Professor Maree Toombs, Patricia Leddington-Hill and Dr Ross Hetherington who will remain in their roles until 2024.

Dr Harrop previously worked in the Princess Alexandra Hospital Immunology Division, later becoming a senior lecturer at Griffith University. He currently assists the Darling Downs community through his work as a clinical nurse in the Warwick Hospital Emergency Department.

Mr Kehoe brings more than 47 years of leadership and engineering experience to his new role on the board. He has managed his own engineering practice for 31 years.

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath said Dr Harrop and Mr Kehoe would bring a vast range of experience to an already diverse board.

The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Board is one of 16 boards throughout Queensland responsible under the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 for local performance of their health service and the delivery of public health services within their communities.
