Five plays by five new South Burnett directors … and a whole lot of fun! That’s what Nanango Theatre Company is promising in their latest season of hilarious one-act comedies which kicks off on Friday night.

The comedies have been billed together as “Speed Dating In The Nude”, so there’s a warning … there are some cheeky bits in one of the five plays!

Together they explore the ups and downs of romance.

There’s “Speed Dating”, directed by Valerie Mathews, where prospective dates meet face-to-face (super fast).

“Natural Dating”, directed by Kate McCormack, contains the naughty bits where singles set aside their inhibitions.

“Dating Service”, directed by Annette McKeith, explores mature-age dating while “Creative Dating”, directed by Maxine Whitbread, adds a whole new slant to date nights where the classic movie and dinner is totally ditched.

And the last play is “Pre Dating”, directed by Abigail Andersson, which heads back in time to pre-history to explore love, fire and the invention of the wheel.

Opening night is 7:00pm this Friday (March 25) at the Nanango Theatre Company’s playhouse at 1 Elk Street, Nanango.

This will be followed by performances on Saturday (March 26) at 7:00pm, Friday (April 1) at 7:00pm, and Saturday (April 2) at 1:00pm and 7:00pm (the final performance).
