A 47-year-old Ellesmere man faces multiple charges after police allegedly located tablets, cannabis and ammunition when they pulled over his vehicle on the Bunya Highway near Kingaroy.

Police intercepted the Mazda ute about 3:40am on November 29.

A search of the vehicle allegedly located ammunition, cannabis and unidentified tablets.

The man has been charged with drug supply, production, possession, possession of drug-related items and unlawful possession of explosives (ammunition).

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 6.

Five motorists have been charged with drug-driving offences after being stopped and tested by Kingaroy police on November 29:

  • 4:20am – A 19-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Subaru sedan on Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road.
  • 5:35am – A 17-year-old Memerambi man driving a Holden sedan on Haly Street.
  • 8:15am – A 28-year-old Kingaroy woman driving a Holden sedan on Alford Street.
  • 8:50am – A 32-year-old Wattle Camp man driving a Holden ute on Moonya Street.
  • 9:20am – A 24-year-old Nanango man driving a Holden stationwagon on Kingaroy Street.

A 28-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 20 charged with drink-driving (0.074 BAC) after police stopped his Mazda sedan on Windsor Circle in Kingaroy at 11:15pm on Sunday.

  • A 25-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on December 13 charged with possessing a drug utensil after police searched a home in Walter Road, Kingaroy, on November 29.
  • A 43-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 6 charged with drug possession after police allegedly located a small amount of cannabis after stopping a Nissan ute in Sonaree Drive on November 29.
  • A 27-year-old Kingaroy woman and a 35-year-old Kingaroy man have been charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils after police searched an address in Glendon Street Kingaroy on November 30.  They will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 20.
  • On Sunday morning, police attended a house in Neville Place in relation to another matter. While there, they allegedly found a 19-year-old Kingaroy man in possession of a small amount of cannabis and drug utensils. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 6.
