Police are investigating a fatal crash which occurred on the D’Aguilar Highway on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the incident at Woolmar about 2:00pm.
Traffic on the highway was blocked in both directions while police and paramedics were at the scene.
The 84-year-old driver, from Buaraba, died after his vehicle left the highway and crashed into a tree.
A police spokesperson said the man’s 70-year-old passenger was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
