Kingaroy police are investigating a break-and-enter which occurred on Friday night.

The thieves broke into a residence in Julie Street and stole cash, jewellery and a coin collection.

Investigations are continuing.

On November 16, police were called after reports of vehicle with an unrestrained child in front seat.

Police located the vehicle at a Doonkuna Street address.

Police spoke to a 26-year-old Kingaroy man who stated the child had been restrained however investigations allegedly identified the man had never held a driver’s licence.

He was issued with a notice to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on December 13.

Police were called to a disturbance in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy, at 8:10pm last Tuesday after reports two boys were smashing glass bottles on a roadway.

Police located a 15-year-old Kingaroy boy and 14-year old Kingaroy boy. While talking to the boys a 53-year-old Kingaroy man approached and allegedly began abusing police.

The 14-year-old boy was dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act. The 15-year-old boy will appear in Kingaroy Children’s Court at a later date for allegedly committing a public nuisance offence and obstructing police.

The 53-year-old man was issued with infringement notices for a committing public nuisance ($413 fine) and obstructing police ($413 fine).

A 37-year-old Wattle Camp man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 6 charged with drug driving after police stopped a Holden sedan on Silky Oak Drive, Kingaroy, about 10:00am on Thursday.

On Friday, Kingaroy police were called to a Fisher Street address in relation to another matter.

While there, a 53-year-old Kingaroy man was allegedly found in possession of a small quantity of cannabis and drug utensils. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on December 13.
