South Burnett photographer Denise Keelan was thanked by Kingaroy Rotary Club president Kat Butcher for her “extraordinary work” on the 2022 calendar, which went on sale around the region this week

The Rotary Club of Kingaroy has unveiled the 2022 edition of its popular annual calendar which – this year – highlights the South Burnett’s unique architecture.

This year’s theme is “Our South Burnett” and photographer Denise Keelan has selected a range of photographs that show off more than a dozen of the region’s unique structures.

All were built between 1846 and 1940, each one is supported by a short history of the building.

Featured properties are:

  • Kingaroy’s 1913 Council Chambers
  • Taabinga Homestead
  • Nanango’s Butter Factory
  • The Queensland Dairy and Heritage Museum at Murgon
  • Blackbutt’s War Memorial
  • Wooroolin Memorial Hall
  • Boondooma Homestead
  • King’s Boarding House at Maidenwell
  • Murgon Town Hall
  • Wondai Post Office
  • The Union Bank Of Australia in Kingaroy
  • Goomeri’s War Memorial Clock
  • Yarraman’s Heritage Centre

This is the thirteenth year Kingaroy Rotary Club has published a calendar, just in time for Christmas giving.

The calendar is an important fundraiser for the club, with sales going to support Kingaroy Rotary projects.

The 2022 Calendar costs $5 and can be bought at Visitor Information Centres throughout the region and at multiple other outlets.
