South Burnett Futsal’s summer futsal competition will be kicking off officially for junior and senior players next Monday (October 18).
Spokesperson Tracey Clegg said games will be played at St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy on Monday and Tuesday afternoon, with more afternoons added if needed.
Nominations for teams and individual players are now open.
As an added incentive, South Burnett Futsal are now an official part of the new National Southern Cross Futsal League.
Tracey said junior age groups would competing (Under 8s, 10s, 12s and 14s) and those aged 15-plus will be playing Seniors.
“We are encouraging all current players, new players and soccer clubs to nominate as an individual player or nominate as a team,” Tracey said.
“There are limited spots available in each age group so be quick and don’t miss out.
“This new National League is a fantastic opportunity for not only SBFC futsal players but also great news for all South Burnett football clubs.
“It will also provide clubs and academies with opportunities to compete in national and international competitions where they will be able to showcase their club or academy to a national or international audience.”
Tracey said South Burnett Futsal would pick a rep team to compete in the National Southern Cross Futsal League play-offs.
