The Nanango Soccer Club is now the proud owner of a new brushcutter, thanks to sponsorship from the Heritage Bank Nanango.

Panthers’ volunteers maintain the Alan Downie Sports Fields in Burnett Street during the soccer season to make sure the playing conditions are great.

“With the new brushcutter, the job will now be a lot easier,” club secretary Alex Psarros said.

It’s been a big year for the club, with both the men’s and women’s senior teams making the Grand Finals, with the women taking home the trophy.

The Panthers are also busy gearing up for their 40th anniversary formal dinner which will be held on October 9 at Nanango RSL Club.

The dinner is booked out, but the club is still looking for memorabilia to display on the big night.

The committee is especially looking for any photos from before 2000.
