Coffee With A Cop is returning to Kingaroy Shoppingworld later this month

September 14, 2021

Kingaroy Police are bringing their popular “Coffee With A Cop” back to Kingaroy Shoppingworld this month.

Local residents have been invited to drop into Muffin Break between 10:00am and 11:30am on Tuesday, September 28.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said it was an opportunity for residents to come along to meet local officers and have a chat.

Coffee with a Cop is a state-wide initiative by the QPS to give members of the community the opportunity to talk to local police about any issues, concerns, or questions they have, all while sharing a cup of coffee together.

The South Burnett’s annual National Police Remembrance Day service will be held the next day, September 29.

National Police Remembrance Day is held every year to honour police officers across the country who have lost their lives and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.

In the South Burnett, the service rotates every year between towns and congregations.

The 2021 service will be hosted by Nanango’s Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Gipps Street from 10:00am.
