Firefighters were called just after 7:00pm on Sunday to a hay shed fire on Goomeri West Road at Goomeri.
A QFES spokesperson said the first crews on the scene found the shed – which also contained machinery and vehicles – engulfed in flames.
More fire crews were called, with a total of seven rural and urban units battling the blaze.
A tractor was used to pull out and separate the hay bales so they could be extinguished.
Firefighters had the hay extinguished and the area made safe by 12:30am.
