The ninth round of the Coopers Gap Wind Farm Community Fund opened on September 1 and applications from community groups located in Kumbia, Jandowae and Bell are being invited until September 30

The ninth round of AGL’s Coopers Gap Wind Farm Community Fund has opened for applications.

The round will offer grants up to $3000 to community groups in Kumbia, Jandowae or Bell.

The Community Fund targets a range of community needs including health, social welfare, safety, environment, education and youth, sport, recreation, culture, arts and economic development.

The fund aims to:

  • Deliver community wide benefits to strengthen AGL’s existing links with the local community
  • Support the work of existing and future community organisations
  • Encourage local community innovation and support for issues of community significance
  • Promote local awareness and education supporting the benefits of sustainable renewable energy
  • Continue to build and maintain strong relationships with the local and wider communities.

Organisations who wish to apply should lodge an application by 5:00pm on Thursday, September 30.

AGL will announce the successful applicants in November 2021.
