A four-year-old girl from the Logan area has tested positive for COVID-19.

The latest case was announced by Queensland Health in Friday evening.

The girl is a close contact of the truck driver who triggered a Queensland Health alert on Thursday.

Officials said the child attended The Boulevard Early Learning Centre at Mt Warren Park on Tuesday (August 31) and Wednesday (September 1) this week.

Children, staff and visitors to this centre should immediately come forward and get tested, then quarantine at home with their household members for 14 days regardless of a negative result.

This centre is also used for after-school care by children who attend Windaroo State School.

All students, staff and visitors who attended Windaroo State School from Tuesday (August 31) to Friday (September 3) and their household members should also quarantine for 14 days.

The Queensland Health spokesperson said more information about this latest case would be announced on Saturday.

UPDATE September 4: About 100 families linked to the childcare centre, and 960 families linked to Windaroo State School have been ordered into quarantine.

An alert has been issued for the Beenleigh Marketplace last Monday morning.
