Two people were injured when their motorbike struck a feral pig on Okeden Road, near Proston, on Wednesday night.

A man, aged in his 30s, was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition with head and chest injuries.

A  woman, aged in her 20s, was transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital with hand injuries.

Emergency services were called to incident at Okeden just after 10:00pm.

Ambulance paramedics assessed the pair at the scene before transporting them to Wondai Airport where they were met by LifeFlight’s Land Rover medevac helicopter.

The Land Rover helicopter is temporarily based on the Sunshine Coast, while the RACQ LifeFlight chopper undergoes scheduled maintenance.
