A man has been charged with drink-driving after a light pole was demolished at Darryl Crescent in Kingaroy on Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to the incident at 4:45pm.

Witnesses told police a red vehicle had run over the street light before taking off.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said police later located the Holden sedan and a driver, a 26-year-old Kingaroy man.

He allegedly blew 0.115 – more than twice the legal limit – when breath-tested.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 13.

A 46-year-old woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27 charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils after police searched a residence on Kingaroy-Burrandowan Road on August 24. Police allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis and drug utensils.

On Sunday afternoon, police executed a search warrant at an address in Webster Street, Kingaroy.

They allegedly located about 600g of cannabis and drug utensils.

A 20-year-old Nanango man, a 21-year Murgon man, a 39-year-old Kingaroy man and a 49-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27 charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils.

Kingaroy police have charged two more people with drug-driving offences after traffic operations last Wednesday:

A 36-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Mazda sedan in Kingaroy Street was pulled over and drug-tested about 12:45pm last Wednesday. Police stopped him again about 45 minutes later in Kingaroy Street, allegedly driving after the initial incident for which he had been suspended. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27 charged with drug driving, unlicensed driving and unregistered driving.

Later on Wednesday afternoon, police intercepted a 26-year-old Kingaroy woman in a Jeep in Haly Street, Kingaroy. She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27.

A 21-year-old Wondai man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 27 charged with unlicensed driving after police stopped his Mitsubishi sedan in Kingaroy Street last Tuesday morning. The man was allegedly unlicensed due to a demerit point suspension.
