Police investigating the disappearance of Amy Schulkins, 36, from the Caboolture area late last year have found a submerged vehicle.

Ms Schulkins went missing on December 30.

Her last known whereabouts were at 11:30pm that day when she was seen in her white 2001, Nissan Patrol travelling along Morayfield Road on to Lower King Street in Caboolture.

Water Police and Dive Squad officers began a search of waters off Bribie Island and Sandstone Point about 8:00am on Friday.

A submerged vehicle, believed to be the 4WD belonging to Ms Schulkins, was found about 11:00am and pulled from the water.

It is now undergoing forensic examinations.

No further information is available.
