The Darling Downs AFL season has shifted into finals mode – and the South Burnett Saints’ women have made the grade.

Round 14 games were played at the weekend with the Saints men heading to Toowoomba for their last-round match-up.

The Saints faced ladder leaders Coolaroo, which maintained their undefeated 2021 record with a thumping win against the visitors.

Brad Pressnell kicked the South Burnett’s sole goal.

The Saints’ women had a bye at the weekend, but have earned a spot in the first of the finals, taking on University this Saturday in the elimination final at a venue to be announced.

UPDATE August 16: University defeated Saints 18.12-120 to 0.1-1 at Heritage Oval in Toowoomba.
