Two schools in the Wide Bay electorate will receive grants from the Federal Government’s $30.2 million Local Schools Community Fund.

Murgon State High School will receive $15,000 to refurbish the student services building, while Goomeri P-10 will receive $16,056 to buy IT equipment, TVs and furniture.

Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien said the Federal Government was investing in worthwhile projects.

“The school communities in Wide Bay nominated the projects that would make a real difference to their students and staff, and the Coalition Government stepped up with funding support,” Mr O’Brien said.
