A Pfizer “super clinic” similar to the one currently operating at Cherbourg will be held in Murgon later this month.

Darling Downs Health will be providing doses of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine at the Murgon PCYC:

  • Wednesday, August 18 – 11:00am to 3:20pm
  • Thursday, August 19 – 9:00am to 3:20pm
  • Friday, August 20 – 9:00am to 12:50pm

A Darling Downs Health spokesperson said vaccinations would be provided in line with current Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) recommendations and guidelines.

Everyone who is eligible, and wants to have a vaccine, can pre-register their interest online (when registering, select “any other eligible criteria” to complete the form).

If you have questions about the vaccine, talk to your doctor or health care worker to get the right, up-to-date information.

“The vaccination is safe and is free. It is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community,” Darling Downs Health’s Annette Scott said.

“If you plan to attend the clinic, please bring ID, your Medicare card, and a pen.”

NB. The “super clinic” at Cherbourg Hall will be open again on Thursday (August 5) from 8:30am.

NOTE: People who have received one dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, which has been provided recently through GPs, Aboriginal Medical Services and some pharmacies, should receive a second dose of Astra Zeneca and not a Pfizer vaccine. If you are unsure which vaccine you have received, talk to your doctor or a health care worker.
