A woman died and a 10-year-old girl was seriously injured in a motorbike crash at Ellesmere on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the incident, on Kumbia Road near Parker Road, just before 2:30pm.
A police spokesperson said it appeared the motorbike was travelling on Kumbia Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
Initial reports suggested the bike had hit a fence.
The rider, a 40-year-old Wyreema woman, died at the scene.
A 10-year-old girl, a pillion passenger, was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
The police Forensic Crash Unit will investigate.
