COVID-19 has stopped the popular Dinner With The Captains Relay For Life fundraiser for the second year in a row.
The dinner was to be held at Kingaroy Town Hall on Saturday night and would have featured guest speakers Allan “Alfie” Langer AM, Natalie Cook OAM and Kelvin Kerkow OAM.
It was booked out.
The decision not to go ahead with the event occurred on Saturday morning after the announcement of the snap south-east Queensland COVID-19 lockdown.
South Burnett Relay For Life patron Carl Rackemann told southburnett.com.au he hoped the dinner could be rescheduled for later this year, but everything was very uncertain.
So disappointing for the committee after putting in so much planning and work for such a worthy cause.
