Detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) are seeking help from the public in relation to 15 steers that have disappeared from a property north of Pittsworth.

Police believe the mob of mixed breed steers went missing – or were stolen – at some time between 4:30pm on Tuesday and 8:00am on Wednesday (July 27-28) in the vicinity of Lochaber Road.

They are described as a mixture of Angus, Charolais, Santa Gertrudis and Droughtmaster crosses, about 220-280kg.

A white management tag, marked “DALEY”, was inserted in their left ears.

Detectives are requesting information from anyone who may have sighted suspicious activity in the area over the past few days, or anyone that may be aware of a person who has recently acquired cattle by an unknown means or advertised cattle for sale.
