Both South Burnett Saints teams were celebrating on Saturday after both the men’s and women’s AFL teams demolished Dalby at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.

It was the first time the Saints had been in action since June 19, as their Round 10 & 11 games were washed out.

The return to Kingaroy also marked the Saints’ annual Ladies Day which featured grazing platters and wine as well as the footy action on the paddock.

In the first game of the afternoon, the Saints Women’s team overwhelmed the Swans 5.8-38 to 0.2-2.

South Burnett’s goal kickers were Renee Dennien (2), Holly Cormack, Kayla Smith and Madison Smith.

The men’s team then took on Dalby in their clash.

The Saints led at every change but had to withstand a stronger third quarter from Dalby.

The final score was 11.14-80 to 5.5-35.

Saints goals were kicked by Keegan Wright (3), Samuel Colley (2), Nathan Trace (2), Jordan Brooker, Brenton Noe, Jack Hourn and Daniel Clacy.

Both teams will be back at Lyle Vidler Oval again this weekend, facing the Goondiwindi Hawks.
