Police are investigating numerous graffiti offences which occurred in the Fisher and Moore streets area of Kingaroy on Tuesday night.

The vandals spray-painted tags on fences, letterboxes, power poles and Council road signs.

Obscenities were also sprayed along the side of a private vehicle parked in a driveway.

Police are appealing for help from the public in identifying the offenders.

Police are also investigating vandalism at the Rotary Park toilet block in Haly Street, Kingaroy.

South Burnett Regional Council has closed the toilets for repairs.

A Council spokesperson said the toilets were expected to reopen on Saturday (July 17).

A woman suffered a cut hand and a man was bitten during a wild incident at a residence in Carroll Street, Kingaroy, on Tuesday evening.

Officer-on-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said a male threatened another person at the home with a pair of scissors during a verbal argument.

“In the ensuing scuffle a female has suffered a small cut to her hand and the male suspect has then bitten another male on the arm and shoulder before decamping,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.

Investigations are continuing.

A 36-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates on August 30 charged with drug possession after police searched a home in Alford Street, Kingaroy, on Wednesday afternoon.

Police allegedly located a small amount of amphetamine.

Three people have been charged after police raided a house in Roberta Street, Kingaroy, on Wednesday morning.

Police allegedly located drug utensils, amphetamine, cannabis, drug utensils and a baton.

The trio will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 30:

  • A 22-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs, drug utensils and a restricted weapon,
  • A 28-year-old Nanango woman has been charged with drug possession, and
  • An 18-year-old Benarkin woman has been charged with possessing drugs, drug utensils and property used in the commission of a drug offence.
