A man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a two-vehicle smash on Youngman Street near Kingaroy Hospital on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to the nose-to-tail collision about 6:15am.

A police spokesperson said a Toyota LandCruiser had stopped to turn into a car park in front of the hospital when it was struck from behind by a Toyota HiLux.

The driver of the second vehicle allegedly told police he had not seen the first vehicle stop because of dew on his windscreen.

He was taken to Kingaroy Hospital suffering arm pain but was also issued with a $500 ticket for driving without due care and attention (3 points).
