A program supporting the health and wellbeing of ex-service personnel in Nanango is receiving $10,310 under the Veteran and Community Grants Program.
Member for Maranoa David Littleproud the money had been allocated to the Nanango RSL Sub-Branch to run a program designed to assist veterans in identifying and managing risks which contribute to preventable falls and to improve strength and balance.
A total $2.4 million of funding was available under the Federal Government’s 2020-21 Veteran and Community Grants Program.
“Congratulations to the successful applicants for this round and thank you for the ongoing support that you offer to the veteran community,” Minister Littleproud said.
“This funding not only supports local veterans and their families, but has a growing effect within our communities, by supporting local employment and businesses.”
