Stanwell has encouraged people of all ages and backgrounds to attend the information session to learn more about kick-starting their careers in the energy industry.

Tarong power stations site manager Wayne Martyn said the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program was a fantastic opportunity for people passionate about powering up their career in the electricity generation industry to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

“The program provides a structured opportunity for participants to learn from highly experienced mentors, tradespeople and specialist energy workers, allowing them to gain a stronger understanding of the career paths that are available to them in the industry,” Mr Martyn said.

“Our apprentices and trainees gain hands-on experience and real-world skills which will set them up for a long and meaningful career in the energy industry.

“The information session provides the perfect chance for potential applicants to gain useful information on the available roles, genuine insight into what it is like to complete the program at Tarong power stations, and guidance on how to prepare their application.”
