South Burnett Saints were strong in the first quarter against the Tigers, leading for some time

Toowoomba proved too strong for the South Burnett Saints in their Round 8 game at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on Saturday.

South Burnett had a strong first quarter and were only two points behind at the first change but the Tigers roared into action in the second and easily led for the rest of the game.

The final score was 17.12-114 to 5.9-39.

Saints’ goalkickers were Keegan Wright, Dimas Bakini, Brad Pressnell, Daniel Ryan and Robert Goodwin.

Tigers were also victors in the women’s game, 18.13-121 to 1.1-7.

Saints’ goal was kicked by Kayla Smith in the last quarter.

The women’s team will enjoy a bye this weekend while the men will be in action again at Lyle Vidler, this time against Warwick Redbacks.
