A man has been airlifted to hospital after the quad bike he was riding flipped and landed on him near Hivesville on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the private property at 1:38pm.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was despatched and landed near the incident just after 3:00pm.

It’s believed the man, who is aged in his 20s, was riding the quad bike down a hill when the incident occurred.

He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition for treatment of a suspected broken leg.
