Woodchopping competitions will be in action at the Kingaroy Show on Saturday

April 28, 2021

Kingaroy Show will be back bigger and better than ever this weekend!

Gates open at 8:00am on Saturday and all the old favourites will be back after last year’s disappointing cancellation due to COVID restrictions.

There’ll be sideshow alley rides, wood chopping, horses, mini-trotters, beef and dairy cattle, poultry plus all the pavilion competitions.

But there are also some exciting new attractions: harness racing, lawn mower races and midget cars (see the Show Program, below).

The winner of the South Burnett Sub-Chamber Ute competition will be announced, and the Sub-Chamber finals of this year’s Young Paraders and Dairy Cattle Young Judges competitions will also be held.

Queensland Ag Shows general manager Trevor Beckingham OAM has been invited to do the official show opening at 1:30pm on Saturday.

This will be followed by a Grand Parade.

Fireworks, sponsored by Westlink Petroleum, will top off Saturday.

Speedway action on Sunday evening will round off Day 2.

The speedway meeting – the last for the 2020-21 season – will feature Modifieds, Production Sedans, Street Stocks, National 4s and Junior Sedans.

Racing gets under way at 4:00pm and entry is included in the cost of show passes.

Admission to the Kingaroy Show (per day) is $15 for adults and $10 for pensioners and high school students. Under 12s are free.
