A man has died after a fiery head-on crash between a semi-trailer and a car on the D’Aguilar Highway on Monday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said a car travelling west on the D’Aguilar Highway and a semi-trailer travelling in the opposite direction collided about 5:00pm at Stony Creek.
The semi-trailer became engulfed in flames but the 58-year-old truck driver managed to extract himself.
However, the car driver – a 20-year-old Narangba man – died at the scene.
Police are appealing for any motorists that may have witnessed the crash and have dashcam footage to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
