Kieran Askin bowled three maiden overs and took a wicket during his spell for Warriors

Rain interrupted play in Day 1 of the A Grade cricket being played at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy last Saturday.

The Round 4 Gympie competition match was between Wooroolin Warriors and Gympie Harlequins.

At the end of play, the visitors were 5/58 with Daniel Shepperson reaching 21 before he was bowled.

At Murgon Showgrounds, Murgon Crusaders were 7/212 against Western Gympie.

The two games will be completed this weekend.

South Burnett Senior Cricket

  • Kumbia Rattlers 6 /287 def. Nanango Scorpions (all out 122) at Kumbia Sportsground

Kumbia won the toss and batted first.

Ryan Kelly top scored for the Rattlers with 135 runs, including 16 boundaries.

Russell Holland added another 65 runs to the Kumbia score.

In reply, Joseph Steinhardt was the best of the Nanango batters, finishing 46 not out.

Bowler Matthew Barbour was on fire for Kumbia, taking 3/16 off his 4.1 overs.

  • Two games were washed out: Wondai Wolves v Murgon at Wondai Cricket Ground; and Kingaroy Services v Cherbourg at Taabinga State School.
