Agents Aussie Land & Livestock yarded 277 head at a fat and store sale at Coolabunia Saleyards on Tuesday (February 16).

Cattle were drawn from local areas.

A large consignment of dairy breeds made up the majority of the yarding and overall achieved excellent results.

Angus/Jersey heifers sold for 422c/kg and Euro cross heifers sold to 485c/kg.

Angus/Jersey steers  sold for 416c/kg and Santa steers for 496c/kg.

Steers 200-300kg averaged 377c for $1005.52.

Steers 300-400kg averaged 328c for $1143.28.

Steers 400–650kg averaged 366c for $1549.81.

The majority of the steers were dairy breeds.

Lighter heifers averaged 446c for $1128.83.

Heifers 300-400kg averaged $1214.58 and heifers over 400 kg averaged 322c for $1456.92.

Cows 450-520kg to 295c & averaged 277c for $1266.19 and Heavy Cows to 305c & averaged 292c for $1673.20.

Bulls over 600kg averaged 321c for $2503.83.

A total of 1200 head were yarded in Murgon at the February 16 sale.

All descriptions were fully firm with the exception of Export cattle which sold to slightly softer rates.

Cattle were drawn from Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Mt Perry, Biggenden, Durong, Kingaroy, Nanango, Kandanga, Kilkivan and locally.

Bulls sold to 326c per kilogram and $2700.

Heavy Cows over 500kg sold to 309c and $2270, averaging 293c.

Cows 400-500kg sold to 292c for an average of 278c.

Lighter Cows under 400kg sold to 290c.

Export heifers topped at 355c and $2550.

A draft of Charolais cross steers from Mt Perry sold for 459c to average $1910 and 420kg.

417kg Brahman cross steers from Nanango sold to 443c and $1850.

Droughtmaster steers from Tansey sold for $1934 at 440c.

Charolais cross steers from Proston, weighing 493kg, returned $2150 at 436c.

Droughtmaster cross steers weighing 385kg sold for $1794 and 466c.

Brangus steers from Yarraman sold to 460c and $1645.

312kg Charbray steers from Tansey sold for 480c returning $1500.

Charbray weaner steers from Durong sold to $1604 and 555c.

Santa cross weaner steers from Proston sold for 496c and $1505.

Charbray weaner steers from Durong sold for $1224 at 550c.

Light Droughtmaster weaner steers from Gayndah sold to 570c to return $977.

Local Gelbvieh weaner steers sold for $1018 at 536c.

350kg Charolais cross heifers from Hivesville sold for $1580 at 450c.

Droughtmaster heifers from Gayndah sold for 454c returning $1362.

320 Simmental cross heifers from Cushnie sold to $1447 at 452c.

Murray Grey weaner heifers from Goomeri sold for $1023 and 476c.

Simmental cross weaner heifers from Tingoora sold for $1126 and 466c.

Angus cross weaner heifers from Proston sold for 459c, returning $1258.

Light Brahman cross weaner heifers from Durong sold to 518c and $738.

PTIC Droughtmaster Cows sold for $1760.

Cows & calves topped at $2220.
