Thieves have stolen 11 expensive musical instruments – including saxophones, trombones and clarinets – from Wondai P-9 State School.

A police spokesperson said the thieves gained entry into a classroom at some time between February 11 and February 18.

The stolen instruments are: a Yamaha flute, three Yamaha clarinets, one Jupiter clarinet, two Yamaha alto saxophones, two Yamaha trombones, one Bach trumpet and one Encore trumpet.

The majority of the instruments, or their cases, have identifying features such as serial numbers.
