A man has been charged after the alleged theft of a puppy from a property in Stephens Street East earlier this month.

Murgon police were called on January 20 and after investigations located the puppy and returned it to its owners.

A 36-year-old South Bingera man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on February 9 charged with stealing.

Investigations are continuing into the theft of a motor vehicle from Krebs Street, Murgon, about 2:00am, on January 20.

The vehicle was located about 15 minutes later, abandoned in Cherbourg.

Between 8:00am on January 13 and 4:00pm on January 20, thieves stole two motorcycles from a secured garage in Murgon.

Thieves also targeted a house in Cobb Street, Murgon, between 6:00am on January 12 and noon on January 18.

Investigations into both matters are continuing.

Between 3.30pm and 3:50pm on January, a disturbance allegedly occurred at a Watt Street, Murgon, address between three people.

A police spokesperson said one person was injured and taken to hospital.

Following investigations, a 19-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on February 2 charged with serious assault.

An 18-year-old Cherbourg man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on February 2 charged with producing dangerous drugs after police searched a house in Bond Street, Cherbourg, on January 17.
