Police have confirmed that a man has died in a single-vehicle crash at South Nanango on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the rollover on the D’Aguilar Highway just after 5:30am.

The vehicle was believed to be heading towards Nanango when the incident occurred, about six kilometres north of Yarraman.

Initial inquiries indicate the man’s black Ford Falcon sedan left the road and hit a large rock, before being thrown into a tree.

A passing truck driver found the car about 5:30am, however it’s believed the crash occurred several hours earlier.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and anyone with further information or relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

This is the second fatal crash to occur in the South Burnett within days.

On Friday, a 22-year-old Murgon woman died after a two-vehicle crash on the Chinchilla-Wondai Road at Cushnie.
