Police are investigating a break-in at at hotel in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy, at the weekend.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said jewellery, cash and an unknown quantity of alcohol was stolen.

Entry was gained by forcing a rear roller door.

The break-in occurred over Saturday night or Sunday morning.

A driver was issued with a traffic ticket for failing to maintain proper control of a vehicle ($331 fine) after a single vehicle crash on Stolzenberg Street, Kingaroy, on Friday.

Police were called about noon to the incident.

A Toyota ute, driven by a 21-year-old man, had overturned.

He allegedly told police the incident had been caused by mechanical issues.

A 49-year-old Nanango man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 1 charged with drug possession after police stopped him in Kingaroy Street on Friday afternoon.

The man allegedly had 0.1g of methamphetamine in his possession.

A person was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after a quad bike crash on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a private property at Booie at 12:38pm.

A QAS spokesperson said the quad bike had hit a fence.
