Redmans Road was closed to through traffic as emergency services attended the scene

A man has died after a collision between two vehicles at the intersection of Redmans Road and Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road at Booie on Friday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said a vehicle travelling through the intersection and a Toyota sedan travelling west on Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road collided about 4:40pm.

As a result, the Toyota left the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 76-year-old Wattle Camp man, died at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed the crash, or has dashcam footage of the moments leading up to it, to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Police have urged motorists to avoid the scene of a serious collision between two vehicles at the intersection of Redmans Road and Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road near Kingaroy.

Early reports suggested two people were trapped in the wreckage after one of the vehicles rolled.

One person is now feared to have died in the collision.

Emergency services were called just after 4:30pm on Friday.

At 7:00pm, both Redmans Road and Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road were still closed to through traffic.
