The Christmas spirit was alive and well in Kumbia on Sunday night with a happy turnout for the town’s annual festive celebration.

Of course, COVID brought some changes – signing in at the entrance, and a distribution of stalls inside the Memorial Hall as well as in the surrounding area – but the number of attendees actually seemed to be greater than in the past couple of years.

All the old favourites were there: the ham wheel, the Christmas Tree competition and the sausage sizzle and desserts (always popular).

And Santa Claus also squeezed in an appearance in his busy schedule, arriving in style in a police car!
