Police investigations are continuing after a Toyota LandCruiser crashed outside Nanango State School in Drayton Street on Tuesday night.

A police spokesperson said police were conducting a patrol in Millis Way when they spotted the LandCruiser just before 11:00pm.

They attempted to intercept the vehicle after it turned right into Drayton Street but it allegedly sped off, travelling between 70-80km/h and through a red light at the intersection of Drayton and Henry streets.

Police followed and found the vehicle had crashed outside the school.

The driver had got out and was sitting on the ground.

Ambulance paramedics were called to the incident but a QAS spokesperson said no one required any further treatment.

Police have spoken to a 15-year-old male but investigations are continuing.

The police spokesperson said the vehicle was not believed to have been stolen.
