Work to build an all-abilities playground at Butter Factory Park in Nanango will begin in December.
South Burnett Regional Council has been working with community members on the concept design.
Equipment which will be incorporated into the playground includes:
- Inclusive Roundabout
- Musical panel
- Fuel station interactive play panel
- Activity net climbing station
- Spring toy
- Inclusive swings
- Freestanding naughts & crosses
- Inclusive spring toy
- Extreme adventure unit
A new shade sail will cover the playground area.
The project has been funded through the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program, the State Government’s Works for Queensland (W4Q) program, community funding through fundraising events and donations, and funding from Nanango’s Heritage Bank.
To allow the new equipment to be installed, Butter Factory Park will be closed from December 1-18.
