There are now 31 active cases of COVID-19 in Queensland following the confirmation of three new cases on Saturday and two on Friday.

All five cases are contacts of previously confirmed cases and were already in quarantine.

Thirteen of the active cases are currently in hospital but none are in intensive care.

The total number of cases associated with the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre and Corrections Academy cluster is now 48.

This includes seven staff from Ipswich Hospital.

Queensland Health also released an updated public health alert on Saturday, adding Hungry Jacks at Redbank Plains Shopping Centre on September 8 to the contact tracing alert list (see below).

Anyone who has been to any of these locations at these times should monitor their health and, if they develop even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms, get tested.
