Nanango Race Club will be holding its Nanango Cup Race Meeting at the Lee Park Racecourse on Saturday.

The Nanango Cup is always one of the club’s most prestigious race meetings of the year, and it is usually held each August.

This year the Cup race was postponed to September due to COVID-19 issues.

Saturday’s card will feature five races and the Nanango Cup will be decided in Race 4.

The meeting will also offer guests an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar, as well as the Champagne@TheBit Cocktail Bar.

The meeting’s theme is “Classic Spring Racewear” and guests who dress to it can win prizes in the spot Fashions Of The Field competition.

Once again, however, guests will be asked to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

These will include a different servery area for food and drinks; lawn seating rather than undercover seating; registering your contact details at the ticket office; and maintaining correct social distancing on course.

Buses will be leaving Kingaroy’s Glendon Street Bus Depot at 12:00 noon and the Fitzroy Hotel at 12:30pm.

Gates will open about 11:00am with Race 1 leaving the barriers at 1:30pm.
