Kilkivan State High School has been named as a Regional Winner in the 2020 Education Queensland “Showcase Awards For Excellence”.
The school won the Award for Excellence in Rural and Remote Education in the North Coast region for their program “Working together, learning together”.
The annual awards showcase State schools that are significantly improving student outcomes.
They recognise dedicated teachers, principals, leadership teams and school communities.
The school was presented with a cheque for $2000 last week by the Department which will be put towards further study for staff and / or resources.
Kilkivan SS is now waiting to see if it makes it to the State Finalists list, which will be announced on September 2.
The State winners will be announced during an online presentation broadcast on September 14.
