Ever dreamt of becoming a ballet dancer? Well, it’s never too late to learn a few moves – and improve your poise, core strength and mobility.

It’s good for your memory, too!

Queensland Ballet, in conjunction with the South Burnett and Fraser Coast councils, has put together two special free, online events for seniors as part of Queensland Seniors Month.

The gentle dance classes are tailored for older people.

They will be livestreamed on YouTube on Sunday, August 30 (see links, below).

No special equipment is required as the exercises – led by Queensland Ballet dancers – will be conducted using “ballet bars” (or the back of a kitchen chair).

The workshops can be accessed by clicking on the following links:

Footnote: This has been advertised elsewhere as being on Saturday, but we have confirmed with the Queensland Ballet that it is on Sunday.
