A man has been taken by ambulance to Gympie Hospital after a collision at the notorious Bells Bridge intersection on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Wide Bay Highway and Bruce Highway at 3:31pm.
Paramedics assessed three people at the scene; a QAS spokesperson said two declined transport.
The third – a man, aged in his 40s – was treated for suspected spinal injuries and transported to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.
Just waiting to happen….. and the authorities have done nothing about the planned remedial action mooted years ago
