Staff at Orana Aged Care in Kingaroy have been working hard at the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Services manager Kym Zischke said the workers have been extra busy, making sure Orana residents were kept safe.
Lutheran Services decided to hold a “thank you” day for the 116 staff members on Friday.
Chocolates were handed out as well as free pizzas – delivered at the start of each of the three shifts – donated by Dominos in Kingaroy.
Dominos store manager Rohit Malhotra said the donation was part of the store’s “Give For Good” campaign which has been supporting frontline workers during the pandemic.
“We wanted to say thank you to our staff but the fact that Dominos was willing to donate all these pizzas was phenomenal,” Kym said.
